TOM EJC — Sri Lanka, including Kirindi Oya

Documented history

Sri Lanka’s Department of Agriculture recommends TOM EJC for commercial dry-zone cultivation.

A 2015 ministry report describes a Kirindi Oya pilot involving farmers’ organisations, Ellawala Horticulture and a University of Colombo institute. This documents the cultivar’s expansion; it does not explain the initials in its name.
