The Chittoor district product guide places Raspuri in Karnataka’s Old Mysuru region. ICAR records the spelling Rasapuri among the South Indian varieties it shared for tasting at a national exhibition.
Those sources give the mango a regional context, but not a verified first-tree story. We keep both spellings and the place they point to, without merging every similarly named mango into one.
