A planned cross with a local parent
Documented history: consult the claims and qualifications in the cited sources.
The BSMRAU Digital Herbarium records a cross between local Ashina as the female parent and Florida M-3896 as the male parent. BARI developed the hybrid, and Bangladesh’s National Seed Board released it in 2003. Its number belongs to a breeding programme, rather than a translated folk name.
