## A later chapter for Alphonso and Neelum

Documented history: consult the claims and qualifications in the cited sources.

The National Horticulture Board records Arka Neelkiran as an IIHR hybrid of Alphonso × Neelum. It is a documented breeding origin, with a named institution and known parents.

The name appears with different spacing in catalogues. Those written forms belong together here; the choice of the poetic cultivar name itself is not explained by the records checked.
