## From grafting stock to the tasting table

Documented name: the history of the first tree remains unresolved.

A 1996 rootstock experiment found strong graft success with Hilacha. Later research compared its pulp with two Bocado types and found similar consumer acceptance. Those studies document its agricultural life; they do not identify its first named tree.
