## How to enjoy it

Giselle offers a juicy Florida mango experience. Cut it over a bowl, because the liquid released with the cheeks deserves a place at the table too.

Open over a bowl to catch the juice. Scoop the ripe flesh; strain blended pulp if you prefer less fibre.

## When it is ripe

Choose full-colored fruit that yields near the stem without collapsing.

Flavour notes are subjective. Ripeness, handling and growing conditions change the fruit.

## A mango named for Gary’s wife

Documented history: consult the claims and qualifications in the cited sources.

Giselle came from Gary Zill’s breeding programme in Boynton Beach. It began as planting number 35-6, a seedling of a mango called Tower, and was named after Gary’s wife.

The grower who introduced it to Tropical Acres described it as a juice mango. The detail that matters most here is the change from an orchard number to a person’s name. Every tree propagated under that name carries a small family dedication into someone else’s garden.
