Trinidad and Tobago’s agricultural extension guide lists Julie among its main mango varieties. Jamaica’s ministry also records Julie in a 2021 shipment to the United Kingdom. Both are concrete parts of its Caribbean life, without assigning an exclusive birthplace from those records.

The U.S. International Trade Commission’s 2022 study records Francis, also called Madam Francis and Francique, in Haiti’s export chain. It describes mangoes growing on smallholder farms alongside other crops. The name leads to that farming landscape as well as a fruit box; it does not reveal who the original “Madame” was.
