## The country guide

A 2025 field study records Kensington Pride, Maya and Keitt in orchards on Sicily’s northern coast. An earlier experiment at Acquedolci also grew Carrie, Osteen and Tommy Atkins. Those trial records extend the research story, without establishing current commercial availability. The cultivar names stay the same when the growing place changes.

## Season and availability

The Acquedolci experiment evaluated fruit from August to October in 2015. That is a study window, not an Italy-wide harvest calendar. The linked profiles may describe seasons in other growing regions.

## At the table

Start with the cultivar and where the fruit was grown. The tasting profiles below offer editorial serving ideas; these agricultural sources do not establish a particular Sicilian mango dish or eating tradition.
